"Classic men's fabrics clashed with fantasy things" -Walter Van Beirendonck

Walter Van Beirendonck designs are always out of the box taking standard basics like finely tailored suits and adding a dash of bold to them like he did in this collection adding patches of loud prints to his suit pants or adding a ponchos and capes.

Adding to the amazing collection was also the hair and makeup, hair that i taught was very reminiscent of Dr.Seuss books, Cindy Lou Who style and with some surreal makeup that looked like giant shark/moster teeth surrounding/swallowing the models head.

 Her are some more of his take on a simple mens suit, even on the details of the pant with the patchwork this is definitely a very strong collection for Walter Van Beirendonck.

John Galliano F/W 2011 Menswear

Definitely one of my most fave collections of f/w 2011 in menswear, which is not a surprise where talking about fucking John Galliano when the words theatrics, stage, and perfection were said Galliano came out with a sword in one hand and a thorn rose bit down in his mouth.  

This collection man was said to be a reminiscent of  Rudolf Nureyev which is quite noticeable in pieces like the following...

I Also feel some type of monastery feeling to this collection

This man never seizes to amaze me the way he can layer and mix and construction.

very few the menswear designer that can actually create of the monatany that can surround mens fashion and Galliano is able to bring some life and character in a area that gets forgotten a lot.

Recaping

Well this year was definitely quite a year filled with lots of things i liked even if i wasn't able to enjoy everything to the fullest since i was at a internship at "the funnest place on earth" Walt Disney World it might of been one of the hardest things for me to do be away from home, family, friends for seven months and even if they did  work me like a slave but i did meet amazing people and made some amazing friendships that i most definitely never forget and did lots of things that i'm glad i did not do in Puerto Rico lol learn a lot, a lot on responsibility and a lot on how to appreciate everything and everyone in your life.

so besides Disney which took most of my year, i happily came back home back to college back to my life and it was amazing felt good to just be able to get some much needed R&R with my friends if not i was on the verge of committing  either a mass murder or an insanely fab suicide which involved rhinestones, glitter and lots of bow ties.

but i guess i'll leave that for later but it's in my journal in the to do list.
Back home with the people i love 4 almost 5 months left of the year not to much but it was enough definitely cannot complain.
And i know this year is just gonna be that much better.

Semi Casual Semi Bore

The major mall in the metro area here in Puerto Rico just got a new addition. Abercrombie and Fitch... yes because its a totally awesome idea, an awesome idea to bring another retail store thats just as bland as watching another coming of age teen movie, just as unique as there other friends over at American Eagle and Aeropostale and just as innovative as Christina Aguileras last album, (if you're sensing a bit of sarcasm than your still on the same page with me).Of course I've seen there quarterly pictorials which 85% of it is  naked men (which i don't mind cause besides all this there men are usually gorgeous yes the ooze commercial but they also ooze boy toy look at my body not my face hence the bags with there heads cut off)so you're kind of confused what there selling you so you catch your self asking am i reading a escort service broucher?,  so its like watching gay porn just if someone catches you you won't look like a dirty perv.

I've been meaning to enter this very "preppy" very "collegiate" very "spo...*yawn*...orty" store but I've seen it before in the states and of course it'll not be any different, cause of course why fix something when it's not broken as they say.

I remember when i first stepped into this store and i this in the loosest of terms since i mean step as in took a few steps peeked in giggled then got nauseated from the smell of there signature Fierce perfume, which is spread in there like plague, the overwhelming smell reminiscent of when a someone i guess didn't have much deodorant or was in a rush and decided not to shower replaces it by drenching themselves in there cologne passes buy you, yes that awful gag inducing smell, well what did i see? not much since theres just a multitude of gorgeous men dressed the same in a dim lit area the Fierce fragrance, and a large crowd of gay men in there middle aged crisis or boys who look like they'll question there sexuality after a few drinks, and i questioned myself am i in a clothes store or in a male whore house? 

The issue with this store in this island is... the public in the metro area, as if we didn't see daily the same outfit on the same people with the same attitude, it feels like a clan of robots wearing the same shirt and which store they bought it at is the ranking or A&F for the high end, new wave, upper class whatever you may call it robots, american eagle for your middle class normal nothing out of the ordinary basic house chores robot model, and the super saver aeropostale  knock off robot. and yet all of them where this and look at you with there knock off designer shades in there extensive collections of converse in every color or puma collection and the new hair cut everyone here seems to be getting which i couldn't be more dumbfounded the return of the mullet but with a twist a faux hawk on top with *insert color here* highlights  with there chin high in the sky cause there superior to you.

But know i must be grateful cause for everyone one of these stores gets here i believe less of a chance that a top shop, H&M retail will open here and i like them and i would hate to see all of these non deserving people wearing. yes, its a mission for me to get clothes from them since i can only get one online and the other one whenever theres a chance to actually go to one of the stores but that's a sacrifice i will have to endure.

so tomorrow if i have a chance i will try to enter this store try not to vomit and try not to hit my shin with one of the tables cause of there lighting and see how our island A&F is doing.
